DDS Approved Georgia Drivers Education Course
On last January 1, 2007, a new law was passed that made life a whole lot harder for teen drivers in the state of Georgia. The new Joshua’s Law, now requires all teens who want to drive to complete a new state approved Georgia driver education course. If you want to obtain a license before the age of seventeen you must finish this course. A number of schools in the state are trying to add driver education into their curriculum, but several schools will still not have this class available. In addition, a high number of students are home schooled. For those teens who can’t attend a school for this class, an alternative solution is needed. Taking the state approved Georgia drivers education course online is a great way to meet all the rules set forth in the Joshua’s Law.
As I just mentioned, online driver education courses meet the new standards of Joshua’s Law. Parents can enroll their kids into a online class where the teen can complete the classroom section of this course in the comforts of their own living room. The great benefit to this is that the student can work at their own pace, thus allowing them to get a better understanding of all the learning objectives. Once the teen finishes the online course, they will then get a certificate of completion which they can show their local DDS office that a state approved Georgia drivers ed course has been completed.
Allowing kids to take this course online enables parents to interact with their child throughout the whole process of them learning how to drive. The parent is still required to spend a certain amount of hours with the kid behind the wheel. This allows parents to know that their child is ready to drive and get their license when completing the entire driver education process. For more information, go to the Drivers Education website.
