Nouveau Riche was started in November 2002 by Jim Piccolo and Mary Piccolo in Australia and New Zealand. In December 2002, the business headquarters were recognized in Scottsdale, AZ. The name was tainted to Nouveau Riche University in 2005 after evaluation by the ACE, under management by Jim Piccolo and Bob Snyder. Nouveau Riche University sketches to erect a campus in 2008 on a 24 acre site north of Phoenix that it lately purchased. The 140,000-square-foot (13,000 m²) campus is projected to have organizational buildings, glass-and-steel classrooms and sumptuousness dorms linked by a man-made river.
Nouveau Riche University carries its name from the expression Nouveau Riche, which submits to those with “New Money”, or who prepared money within their own cohort. Courses are developed through free of charge seminars and through sales solicitations by existing students, subsequent to a certification practice. The 1 or 2 day seminars have a exchange rate of about 10% to paying students. Signs and websites tagged “Real Estate Investor Seeks Apprentice” were used in the past to discover new-fangled students for Nouveau Riche University, but the corporation has barred use of those symbols as of January of 2007. Nouveau Riche University is portrayed by a few writers along with Jim Piccolo as using methods of multi-level marketing to draw students.
